Warabi mochi is sometimes called a “summer delicacy” and is the perfect sweet for this hot season. However, the simple flavor can sometimes feel a bit boring. In such cases, why not try the new coffee-flavored warabi mochi from Seven-Eleven?

You can enjoy a different flavor experience from coffee jelly
I removed the lid. Inside were a rather large, black, round warabi mochi, pure white whipped cream, and a cherry. (There’s also more warabi mochi under the whipped cream.)
The red cherry adds a nice accent.
The soft and chewy warabi mochi has a subtle sweetness and a strong coffee aroma. The fluffy and light whipped cream has just the right amount of richness and milkiness, perfectly matching the coffee warabi mochi.
Before eating it, I imagined it would taste like coffee jelly, but the chewy texture was truly that of warabi mochi, allowing me to enjoy a different kind of deliciousness from coffee jelly.
