I opened the package and took out the contents. The malasada is in what seems to be an oil-resistant bag.

The fluffy dough has a slightly chewy texture. The whipped cream inside has a rich mouthfeel, with the flavor of macadamia nuts and a creamy milk taste, making it very delicious.
My impression is that the dough is similar to the one used in traditional filled doughnuts. The dough is quite firm, so it provides a satisfying and substantial bite. (However, if you prefer malasadas with a crispy exterior and a light, fluffy interior, this one might not be ideal for you.)
